DESCRIPTION
The Lake Placid Club Lodges is a timeshare community located adjacent to the Lake Placid Club Resort recreation complex, directly off of Mirror Lake Drive in the Village of Lake Placid.  We own several  weeks at the Lodges that are available for purchase.  The Lodges are affiliated with VRI and RCI, and are an RCI Resort of International Distinction.  They are truly one of Lake Placid's best vacation values given the amenities they offer and their location in the heart of the Olympic Village.

UNITS:

Each lodge unit is newly refurbished and sleeps up to eight people in two bedrooms (one with queen bed, one with two twin beds) and on two sleeper sofas (one in a loft area and one in the living room).  Each unit also has two full bathrooms, one of which features an oversize whirlpool tub and sauna.  The kitchen is large, bright and fully equipped with full size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, full size stove/oven, dishes, pots, pans, etc.   The spacious open great room area features comfortable living room seating, large windows, and a massive stone fireplace. Each unit has a lower and upper deck with outdoor furniture.  Some units have a spectacular mountain/golf course view, some units have a view of Mirror Lake and other units have a view of the golf club house.  All linens are provided.

LOCATION:

The Lodges are located on exclusive Mirror Lake Drive in the heart of Lake Placid Village, making it an easy walk to the shops, restaurants, Olympic museum and ice skating venues that line charming Main Street in the Olympic Village.  The Lodges close proximity to Main Street makes these units perfect for your Lake Placid vacation. Other Olympic venues, such as the bobsled and luge complex, the scenic drive up Whiteface Mountain, and the Olympic ski jumping complex are minutes away by car.

RECREATION:

The Lake Placid Club Lodges are located adjacent to the the Lake Placid Club Resort recreation complex, and are close to all Village recreation facilities.  Tennis, swimming, walking, skiing, ice skating, toboggan, golf, hiking -- you name it and it is within walking distance from your unit!

The Lodges are located adjacent (and within easy walking distance) to the exclusive Lake Placid Club Resort Golf Course, which offers 45 holes of spectacular golf in the heart of the Adirondacks.  The Links course is the only fully irrigated course in Lake Placid. It was designed in 1909 by the renowned Scottish architect Seymour Dunn.  The Mountain course was laid out in 1910 by Alexander H. Findlay who immigrated to the U.S. from Scotland in the early 1880's and became one of the pioneers of golf in America. In 1931 the course was remodeled by Alister MacKenzie, designer of Augusta National  - home of The Masters.  With smaller greens and more tree-lined fairways, this course begs for the straight shot. The engaging design takes full advantage of the scenic vistas and will appeal to players of all levels. It is quite simply the essence of "mountain golf".  Discounts for greens fees for the Mountain Course are available to all guests of the Lake Placid Club Lodges. 

Tennis anyone?  Lodge guests can also use the private Lake Placid Club Resort tennis courts free of charge, and the public Village courts are right across the road.  

Guests have access to a private beach on Mirror Lake

Sunbathers and swimmers will love the private Lake Placid Club Resort beach on Mirror Lake,  located a short distance down Mirror Lake Drive, where you will also find the outstanding Boat House restaurant.  Even closer is the Village public beach on Mirror Lake, which is directly across the road from the Lodges, and provides a fun swimming venue for all ages.  Canoe and kayak rentals are available on Mirror Lake.  Motor boat rentals and scenic boat tours are available on Lake Placid.  The Lake Placid marina and public boat launch are minutes from the Lodges.

Walkers will be delighted by the scenic 2.7 mile loop around Mirror Lake Drive -- a perfect way to start the morning or wind down the evening.  And awesome hiking trails in the nearby Adirondack High Peaks are too numerous to mention individually! 

Guests in residence have (free) privileges at Lake Placid Health & Fitness, a first-rate exercise facility with personal trainers, classes, and an indoor swimming pool with lap swim and family swim times available.  The health club is a short drive from the timeshares.

In the winter, cross country skiers can ski directly to the Lake Placid Club Resort's cross country ski center located on the golf course grounds.  Alpine skiing at Whiteface is a 15 minute drive away, or you can take a bus to Whiteface from the Village.  The toboggan run on Mirror Lake as well as ice skating on the Olympic Speedskating Oval are both within very easy walking distance of the Lodges.

WEEK 27 (falls on July 7 - 14 in 2007): SOLD

This timeshare week (Week 27B, Building 8, Unit 38) is for sale for $10,000.  Price is firm. This unit is across from the golf course club house.   Saturday arrival.  It sometimes falls over the Independence Day holiday, which is a great time to visit Lake Placid.  Yearly maintenance fees and taxes total approximately $500.  This is a deeded timeshare that you own forever, or resell or leave to your children (or anyone else) as part of your estate.  See below for more information.   Trades through RCI weeks and/or Interval.  Prior to the transfer, at your option and upon payment of a deposit, we can convert this into the RCI points program for an additional fee of $500.  This week is worth 89,000 points!   The transfer process can take 8 weeks.   

WEEK 34 (falls on August 24 - August 31 in 2007): SOLD

This timeshare week (Week 34A, Building 3, Unit 15) is for sale for $9,000. This unit is on the golf course with incredible views from the deck.  Friday arrival.  

WEEK 35 (falls on September 1 - 8 in 2006):  SOLD

This timeshare week (Week 35A, Building 13, Unit 62) is for sale for $8,000.  This unit has a view of Mirror Lake.  Friday arrival.  

WEEK 40 (falls on October 5 - 12 in 2007): SOLD
