Caribou Lodge, named for
the focal point mounted above the Great Room, is
located on the prime lot of Holiday Shores Estates,
with a panoramic view of Fourth Lake. Holiday
Shores Estates is on Rt. 28 between Old Forge and
Inlet, one mile from Eagle Bay. This
huge (3,162 square feet), majestic camp boasts
cathedral ceilings in its Great Room (600 square
feet), along with a perfect combination of outdoorsy
charm and modern amenities.
It simply is impressive.
This
well-appointed camp has been completely renovated and
refurnished in 2007.
It has a large dining area and a kitchen
equipped to handle any meal, featuring a new gas
(propane) stove and new dishwasher.
An expansive deck faces the lake and is perfect
for cocktails or barbecues.
The convenient laundry room has a washer and
new dryer. All
the carpeting and most of the hardwood (oak) flooring
was also recently installed.
Even
large families can be accommodated by its five
spacious bedrooms, one of which is a “kids’
loft”, sleeping four, with a separate entrance and
plenty of extra play room.
The reading room, which also overlooks the
lake, has a wood burning fireplace and the Great Room
a Franklin stove.
Guests
have access to all the community resources: sandy
swimming beach, boat launch and docks, sun deck,
children’s playground, tennis and basketball court,
bocce, baseball field as well as several peaceful
shaded reading areas near the beach.
If
you plan to enjoy the Adirondacks
during any season, there is no better place in which
to do it.
