DESCRIPTION
This charming new log cabin is located in the High Peaks of the Adirondack Park on the West Branch of the Au Sable River in the Town of Jay. The Sugar Mt. Cabin is secluded and surrounded by woods on a two-acre lot. Sleep well at night listening to the rapids of the river and the crackling of the woodstove. This rustic cabin is only 20 minutes from Whiteface Mountain and 25 minutes to Lake Placid. The cabin has a bedroom with a queen-size bed. There is also a large loft with a double bed as well as two single beds. It sleeps six comfortably. There are two  full bathrooms, one with a two-person Jacuzzi. The living room has a wood-burning stove with plenty of dry wood stacked outside. The kitchen has all the necessary appliances and utensils as well as a coffeemaker. Pets are welcome. 

A picnic table and grill are located in the yard while a porch runs along the front of the cabin. Use our mountain bikes to peddle to the secluded lake located a couple of miles from the cabin. Sugar Mt. Cabin is a short drive to the Olympic Village of Lake Placid. Golfing, hiking trails, and other recreation can be found all around the area. If it should rain one day we suggest you visit cosmopolitan Montreal, which is two hours from Sugar Mt. You will find plenty of information about the area when you arrive at the cabin.

There are woods in the back, which overlook the famous Au Sable River. Enjoy private river access to the best trout-fishing river in the East. For the beginner or advanced fisherman, we highly recommend the services of NY Licensed Guide Rich Garfield flyfishtheadirondacks.com who is an expert regarding the intricacies of the river around the cabin as well as other lakes and rivers in the area.

If "Sugar Mt. Cabin" is booked, its sister cabin, "Broken Arrow Lodge", may be available.  These two cabins are identical and are located a short distance away from each other. It is just a two minute walk out the back door to private access on the West Branch of the AuSable River. The rates, description and amenities for "Broken Arrow Lodge" are exactly the same as "Sugar Mt Cabin".

If both cabins are booked, it will be indicated on the calendar.
