DESCRIPTION
This waterfront home was originally a summer camp which was rebuilt over 40 years ago to expand the living area and make it into a year round residence. It was named "Dawn O'Day" because of its great sunrises but it also has stunning sunsets. This home sits among woodlands in a private residential area so it is very quiet and secure. The property embraces its surrounding providing a sense of peace and harmony. It is a perfect place for individuals or families who like privacy while enjoying breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains - all only steps away.

The knotty pine interior of the home makes it truly a warm and inviting place.  Both levels of the home have commanding views of the lake which is just a few feet away. The main level has a bedroom, open living-dining-kitchen area, screened porch just off the kitchen, bath and den with additional single bed. The lower level living area opens on the lake and very comfortable living room with stone fireplace, bedroom with two double beds, laundry room with washer/dryer and toilet, and plenty of room for the family.

The kitchen on the main floor comes fully equipped with microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster and all you need to make any meal.  The home is well equipped complete with bed linens and kitchen services for eight.  

Lower level living room has a floor to ceiling stone fireplace, couch and chairs, stereo, and table with four chairs that can be used for playing games, doing art projects or informal meals.

The washer, dryer and toilet are in the laundry room on the lower level.  Extra storage is available for toys or other items.

The main floor has one bedroom with a queen size bed, dresser, nightstand w/phone and closet.  The bathroom has a tub and shower.  The den that adjoins the living room area has an additional single bed, writing table, dressers and closet.

The lower level bedroom has two double beds with a window that looks on to the lake.  All bedrooms have ample storage for clothing in dressers and there is plenty of closet space.

Utility closets on the main level of the house contain cleaning supplies, vacuum, mop and broom.  An iron and ironing board are also provided.

Full sun can be enjoyed from the top sundeck on top of the boathouse and dock. There is room for three boats-one undercover. The lake bottom is nice and sandy, great for swimming and diving from the dock. Great fishing and over fifteen public golf courses nearby.

Blessed with some of the best views on the lake, this property with its 310 feet of lakefront comes equipped with outdoor grills and furniture to use for sunbathing on the deck or enjoying an afternoon lunch or romantic dinner under the stars.  

Buck Mountain just above the property in the Adirondack Park is a wonderful climb and offers panoramic views of Lake George and access to many other hiking trails.  Just off the shoreline is great fishing or you can just sit in the yard and enjoy the lake steamers as they offer visitors a tour of the lake.  Within a 15 mile radius there are over 15 public gold courses and Vermont is just a half hours drive away.  

Lake George Village just 15 minutes from the house offers visitors interesting and fun things to do or grab a great lunch or dinner at one of the many restaurants. The Great Escape, a world class theme park, is only minutes from Lake George Village . Glens Falls is only 20 minutes away and offers a variety of grocery stores and shopping centers to meet all your needs.

There is always something great to do in the Adirondacks & Lake George area. The second and third weekends in May the Queen's Great Boat Race and the Glens Falls Blues Festival take place. Bass season opens the third week in June just in time for Memorial Day and the second weekend in July is the Antique Boat Show. In August, the National Vintage Boat Regatta attracts classic wood boats from throughout the region. September is a busy month with the Adirondack National Car Show which is the largest classic car show in the east, Lake George Jazz Festival the second weekend and the Adirondack Balloon Festival which attracts over 100 balloons the third weekend. Of course peak "fall colors" viewing times are from the last weekend in September through the third weekend in October. This also coincides with Lake George 's October Fest the last weekend of September.
