Have you ever wondered what paradise was like? We invite you to experience paradise on Earth. The "4th Estate" is a four season home located in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains lying peacefully beside the gentle waters of the Schroon River. Large enough for big groups yet cozy enough to curl up and just relax! Sleeping 13 people comfortably, the "4th Estate" has three bedrooms and a large loft. In the master bed room you will relish a good night's sleep on a queen size bed. Bedroom number two, also located on the main floor, has a full size bed. The huge upper loft is home to five twin size beds. A restful night's sleep is promised on a queen size bed in bedroom number three. A pull out sofa bed is just the place to crash after a wonderful day filled with fun. All the amenities you will need in this fully equipped kitchen including a microwave, blender, and dishwasher. Though no one wants to think about dirty laundry, there is a washer and dryer for your convenience. An outside line is ready to hang those wet bathing suites and swimming towels. A stone fire place is located in the comfy living room with plenty of room for the family to gather to watch one of the many VCR tapes we have provided. Bring along your favorite DVDs to be enjoyed using the DVD player we have left for your convenience. The dining room is the perfect place for family meals or your favorite game. We have left a few of our favorite games for you to enjoy. Oversized screened-in porch offers outside dining and places to curl up with your favorite book. Outside, you are steps away from the sparkling clean water that dares you not to jump in. Steps lead to a shallow swim area - all that can be chaperoned from a lower deck complete with table and chairs either for lunch by the water or, where better to have that first cup of coffee than with awesome beauty of the mountains in front of you, the tranquil waters below and the sounds of nature to sooth you. A canoe and row boat is provided for you to explore the wonders of the marsh or drop a line for the best fishing anywhere. With a public launch near-by you may want to hop in your boat to motor a short distance to Schroon Lake. Our floating dock can accommodate your 28 foot boat. Only five minutes to the Northway, the gate way to outlet shopping, Saratoga Race Track and Performing Arts Center, horseback riding, all that nearby Lake George has to offer or head north for the incredible views from the High Peaks, Lake Placid, oh, and so much more.

Fall is an especially beautiful time to explore the North Country. The beautiful foliage is second to none. If Antiquing is your passion, the local area is a treasure-trove of one of a kind finds.

Crisp air and deep snow await you during the winter. Gore Mountain will challenge the expert skier while also providing gentle slopes for those learning to ski. Cross Country skiing is very popular. Snowmobiling trails start right outside the "4th Estate's" door. Miles and miles of trials can be found just waiting for you to explore. And after a fun filled day-regardless of your passion-what better place to come to than the "4th Estate" where anything you could possibly want will be there waiting for you.

RENTAL RATES
2007 HIGH SEASON & HOLIDAY 6/16 - 9/8: $1,700 per week, $1,200 per weekend, $600 per night.
OFF SEASON: $1,100 per week, $600 per weekend, $300 per night.
Monthly rental high season $6,500. 
Pets permitted for $50/week additional.
