DESCRIPTION
Welcome to the MOOSE AND SQUIRREL LODGE! This SPACIOUS year round lodge is located right on the water of beautiful Lake Pleasant. The Lodge is nestled under the pine trees and it's only a one minute walk (literally) to the popular CAMP OF THE WOODS. Enjoy a private, natural beach. If you want to bring your own boat please contact us for details. The crystal clear Lake is 3-1/2 miles long by 1-1/2 miles wide. The shallow, sandy lake entry is fantastic for small children. Bring your gear for fishing and watersports!  

Downstairs features a 14' x 8' screened in porch, bedroom with queen size bed and one set of bunks tucked in corner of cozy living room, bathroom with tub/shower. Cable TV, VCR/DVD.

Upstairs features a 14' x 8' screened in porch, dining room, full kitchen, living room, two baths, three bedrooms that sleeps 8 - 9 adults with plenty of floor space for the kids to "camp" out with their sleeping bags! Plenty of closet space. Spectacular living room lake views. Cable TV, DVD/VCR, Stereo with CD player, washer/dryer, picnic table, and grill.

The Lodge

We are a 1/2 mile from downtown Speculator which offers tennis courts, playground, movie theater, GREAT restaurants, gift shops, grocery store and a marina with rentals. The Lake Pleasant Golf Course (9 Holes) is located approximately five miles away. Other golf courses are nearby. Snowmobilers - you have found your slice of heaven - trails start at our front door! Snowmobiles can either be rented in town or you can bring your own. Skiing - drive a short 30 minutes to Gore Mountain. Enjoy hiking, mountain biking and exploring the majestic Adirondack region - Speculator is truly the vacationland for all seasons!

Nearby excursions include Lake George (Great Escape Theme Park), Saratoga Springs/Race Track, Cooperstown (Baseball Hall of Fame), Adirondack Museum, Howe Caverns, Go Karts, Bowling, Roller Skating - all 30 to 90 minutes away.

We are looking for families that will leave our lodge as beautiful as they found it. The rental includes linens/towels at no extra charge provided they are cleaned and put back on beds and in linen closets prior to your leaving.
