DESCRIPTION
This turn of the century "Lake House" has a large front porch overlooking the Lake and Mountains. The private sandy and shallow beach is across the street down a grassy path to the Lake. The beach is secluded from the road by a grassy hill.

You will be stepping back in time to the days of the "Great Camps" with cut Granite fireplace, hardwood zebra oak floors, wainscoting and wood ceilings. It is very popular with large family groups and is often booked well in advance during the Summer and prime Holiday weeks. The many repeat rentals suggest that this house is a favorite among many of the guests.

The formal dining room comfortably seats 12 - 14 at the long Harvest table. A high chair is available for the little guest. The extra large Kitchen has been completely renovated to include: two ranges and ovens (one gas, one electric), apron sink, new cabinetry, eat in area, granite countertops, and tile floor. Just off the kitchen is a Laundry/Pantry with washer and dryer. Also, off the kitchen is a small Game room with a junior pool table, air hockey, foosball and dartboard. The Living room is comfortably furnished for relaxing in the evening after a hard day of skiing in Winter or Swimming and Boating and hiking in Summer. Amenities include cable TV, DVD/VCR, and Sony Playstation. There is a recently remodeled 1/2 Bath off the foyer on the first floor.

All six Bedrooms and the two full baths are on the second floor. Four of the Bedrooms have a Lake view; tw o w ith Queen size beds, one w ith a King, and one with two twins. The other two Bedrooms face the backwoods; one w ith a full size bed and the last sleeps three w ith a bunk set and a separate tw in bed. There is also a rollaw ay and a port-a- crib available, when needed. All linens are provided, however, guest must strip beds and start laundry at departure.

Lake front amenities include sandy beach front, seating, canoe, tandem kayak, paddle boat, private dock w ith "w hips", an offshore mooring buoy and a sw im raft. The view is a beautiful Western exposure w ith afternoon sun and sunsets.

Schroon Lake is 9 miles long and this property is on the tower East shore. On the North end is the lovely Tow n of Schroon Lake w ith free municipal docks, a huge Tow n Beach and Park w ith entertainment all Summer Long. The Tow n is accessible by boat or vehicle and everything in Town is just a casual stroll away. Grocery shopping, restaurants, shops, fishing supplies, are available at either Schroon Lake or Chestertow n to the South. There is a public boat launch at the South end of the Lake about two miles from the house.
