DESCRIPTION
Newly built (Fall, 2005) log cabin available for year-round
rental. Our cabin, decorated in Adirondack style, has 3 large bedrooms,
and 2 1/2 baths, with everything you need for the perfect mountain
getaway. On the first floor is the Master Bedroom with King size bed.
There is a Whirlpool Jacuzzi in the Master Bath. Also on the first
floor is a cozy den with a queen sleeper sofa. The kitchen has all new
stainless steel appliances and hardwood flooring, with an adjacent full
laundry room and half bathroom.
Upstairs, on the second floor, are the other
two large bedrooms and bathroom. One bedroom has a Queen bed, the other has
two Twins. A full basement with ping-pong table, foosball, darts, and a CD
player is a great place to unwind after a day of activities! An outdoor stone fire
pit was added in December of 2007.
Bearfoot Cabin, located on five acres of land, is situated at the
end of a cul de sac on a quiet mountain road. If your vacation plans
bring you to the Adirondacks during the summer months, our cabin is very
close to Lake Everest, a protected public beach and picnic area, where
you can swim, launch your kayak or canoe, or just relax. The Ausable
River is also nearby, famous for its fly fishing. Many trailheads for
daytime, or overnight, hikes are within very close proximity to our
cabin. Lake Placid, with its quaint shops, fine dining, and Olympic
venues, is only a ten minute drive.
Winter time brings downhill skiing and snowboarding at Whiteface
Mountain, which is less than three miles away our cabin. There is also cross
country skiing, ice skating at the Olympic Oval in Lake Placid, and
Bobsledding.
The Adirondacks are a year-round destination - and the Bearfoot
Cabin can be your Adirondack retreat during any season of the year!
