DESCRIPTION
This waterfront guest suite, with kitchenette and bath, was built in 2007. It has
it's own private entrance and deck which overlooks a sandy beach on Lake
Champlain. Everything you could want for a relaxing get away is included. A
pontoon boat, as well as two kayaks and a canoe mean you can enjoy the water
all day long. Included is fuel, life jackets, and fishing poles.
Compact kitchen has a microwave, and coffee maker. Dishes, pots and pans
and all utensils are provided. There is a gas and charcoal grill on the deck for your
summer grilling. Air conditioning and electric heat guarantees your comfort. If
there is anything we can provide to make your stay more enjoyable, please ask
and we will try to accommodate you.
This efficiency suite has a king size bed, which can be separated into two twins
if you prefer. The comfortable sitting area overlooks the lake and accesses the
deck through glass sliding doors.
We are located on Lake Champlain in the Adirondacks, 20 miles from 1-89.
Across the lake is Vermont, which is less than 10 miles away by ferry or bridge.
Some Vermont distances would be; Middlebury 25 miles,
Burlington 40 , Shelburne Museum (excellent) 35, and Ben & Jerry's 65.
Some New York distances are Albany 85, Plattsburgh 60, the Canadian border
90. Fort Ticonderoga, and the fort at Crown Point are both less then 10 miles
away. Lake Placid is about 65 and Lake George village an hour's ride away.
We have a nice sandy beach for sunbathing and swimming. The lake bottom is
muddy however, and requires water shoes. An excellent public beach on
pristine Lake George is about 10 miles south of us.
Some of the best Bass fishing in the U.S. is found in Lake Champlain. It is not
uncommon to catch a three pound Bass right from shore. Many of the
L.C.I. fishing tournaments are held here. The lake is also abundantly supplied with
pike, perch, blue gill, and other pan fish.
