DESCRIPTION
This rustic
cabin is situated on six acres of complete privacy
with 700 feet of water frontage on the Sacandaga
River. For those who love peace and quiet it is a
perfect paradise with incredible panoramic mountain
and river views. Walk along the river fishing or
fly-fishing, enjoy bird watching or hiking on nearby
trails. Imagine tubing several miles down the river to
the Great Sacandaga Lake right from your doorstep!
Listen to the river right outside the cabin or use the
river as a Jacuzzi! You can also just relax and enjoy
the view from wherever you are on this vast private
peace of Adirondack Park. Approximately 350 feet to
the left of the house there is an area that may be
used for swimming and where you may swim against the
current (the strength of the current varies across
different sections of the river). The water in the
river is usually very warm because it runs from the
mountains through the Algonquin Lake where it warms up
before coming to our place.
The camp is secluded without
being inconveniently remote. There are several lakes
around within a short distance. Travel 9 miles to the
south to
Northville boat ramp and beach on the Great Sacandaga
Lake (which is 30 miles long). Travel four
miles to Wells where you will find a public beach on
Algonquin Lake or a few more miles to Pleasant Lake
beach or to Moffit campground beach and boat ramp. Ride the Gondola at Gore Mountain which is only
28 miles away, drive six miles to Lap Land Lake cross
country ski resort or just snowmobile right from the
camp! It is about 30 - 50 minutes to Saratoga Springs
and Lake George and about three hours to Canada.

This
fully furnished camp features a kitchen with all the
new modern appliances including range, microwave,
full-size refrigerator, and an electric tea/coffee maker as well as
a newly remodeled full bath with a tub and shower. The
living area has rocking chairs, a sleeper, a full size
futon, a dining table, a telephone (bring your calling
card for long distance), a TV and a CD/DVD player. The
main lodge has an enclosed veranda overlooking the
river and mountains with a table and chairs for
summer/fall dining.
The camp offers two bedrooms down
with double beds in each and one large bedroom
up with three double beds (sleeps six to eight). For
an additional price we can also offer a Kids Condo
next to the main camp with two bunk beds, sleeps four
(the kids will love it!). There is no kitchen or bathroom
in the Kids Condo. The camp can accommodate up to 16
people, please contact the owner and inquire about the package price if you
are a big party.
There is an outdoor fireplace with
a swing set and benches. Enjoy toasting your
marshmallows or grilling kebabs. Two picnic tables as
well as plenty of outdoor furniture is also provided.
Our family camp is a great place for your Adirondack experience and we are
certain that you will have a wonderful time!
