Welcome to 'The Brick House' and the start of a wonderful Adirondack vacation. Are you looking for a place to enjoy the fresh air and peace and quiet - somewhere to relax and rejuvenate? Escape the rat race and traffic, yet be able to pick and choose a day of activity, leisure or family fun? Look no further!

'The Brick House' is a spacious, two story country home situated on an acre of manicured lawn, with a large screened patio for relaxing, reading, enjoying your early morning coffee, or sipping your martini and just unwinding in the evening. 'The Brick House' is a perfect central location to access all your daytime fun....the beach, river access, playground, basketball court, and nature trail are all within a short five minute walk.

With accommodations for six, on the main floor you will enjoy our open large, living room, sun porch, pine-paneled dining room, equipped kitchen, two bedrooms, and full bathroom. The large master bedroom has a queen-sized bed, two dressers, one with mirror, and a large double closet. The second bedroom has a full-sized bed, two antique dressers, one with mirror, and a large closet.

On the second floor, there is a large airy bedroom, with a four-poster full-sized bed, antique dresser with mirror, bookcases filled with novels to enjoy, a large closet, and a half bath.

Our back yard has a fireplace where you may enjoy an evening around the campfire, toasting marshmallows, maybe even singing a few of those 'old songs'. There is a gas grill and picnic table inside the screened patio, just ready for a backyard picnic.

' The Brick House' is fully equipped with all the modern conveniences of home, in a great central location, with easy access to all the Adirondacks has to offer. The kitchen has a gas stove/oven, mircowave, blender, coffee pot, toaster, griddle, pots, dishes, cutlery, and a washer/dryer. There are two standard-cable TVs, a VCR and DVD player, books, games and puzzles for family entertainment. The rental includes linens/towels at no extra charge provided they are cleaned and put back on beds, and in linen closets prior to your leaving. We welcome singles, families, young or old who have a respect for our family home and the great outdoors. Smoking is not permitted on this property.

A combination of collected antiques and modern comforts, give this home a charm where you can relax and refresh in a quiet atmosphere.

'The Brick House' is a perfect location to access many seasonal activities like hiking, fishing, boating, skiing, rafting, and don't forget the vibrant fall foliage. Autumn offers an exquisite foliage panorama, while winter ushers in all the joys of snow related activities. Enjoy snowmobiling, snowshoeing, or X-Country skiing on miles of manicured trails. Our town golf course offers a relaxing close-by game. Boat rentals nearby are ready to add to your kayaking/canoeing adventures. Hiking trails abound, great fishing, swimming and touring. The Adirondack Museum is a wonderful place to visit, or cruise on the WW Durant - a beautiful historical excursion. Speculator, in the beautiful Adirondacks, this is truly a great vacation destination!!!

Drive to Lake George (about an hour) for a day of shopping the outlets or visit Great Escape Fun Park. Old Forge offers its famous old hardware store and scenic train ride. Lake Placid is about two hours away and Saratoga is about 75 minutes, where you can attend a concert/show at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC). Summer is great fun for water sports and touring, the fall is breathtakingly beautiful, and the winter is white!

'The Brick House' and its Adirondack setting offer many fine features from which to choose. Just bring your family, clothes, and food - all else is provided.

RENTAL RATES
Rates per week (Saturday 3:00 p.m. arrival through Saturday 10:00 a.m. departure*): 
- $1,200 in July and August 
- $1,000 in June and September
- Christmas/New Year $1,500
- Fall weekends $350 (minimum two nights), additional nights $125 each

*We are willing to consider other arrival and departure times if needed.

10% discount for two consecutive weeks rental.

We request a non-refundable 25% deposit to confirm the reservation, final payment due two weeks prior to arrival date, along with a $300 security deposit. Assuming there is no damage to the property, the security deposit will be returned within two weeks. We do not hold/reserve/book any dates until we receive a deposit check. Once we receive your deposit check, we will confirm your reservation by telephone and/or email.

To make a reservation, please check our availability calendar, if your dates are available, please email/call us for reservation. Then mail us a money order/cashier's check for the non-refundable 25% deposit, please include: your name, mailing address, telephone numbers, email address, and the dates you want reserved.
