DESCRIPTION
The Moose Creek Lodge is located in the heart of the Adirondacks in Newcomb, New York. The one acre property consists of a 3,900 square foot lakehouse and a guest cabin. The lodge sits on the bay of Lake Harris, a beautiful Adirondack lake about 2.5 miles long. There are seven bedrooms in the main house and two sets of bunk beds in the cabin. Combined the property will comfortably sleep 16. The lodge is tastefully decorated with rustic furnishings and has all the comforts of home.

Amenities of the house are numerous: the kitchen is fully equipped with an electric stove, microwave oven, a coffee pot, toaster, pots, pans, glasses, and dishes. All linens are supplied but we suggest you bring your own beach towels. There is satellite TV, DVD, CD player, radio, books, games, and puzzles. For outdoor activities there is life jackets, fishing poles, water toys. Smoking is permitted outside only (this policy is firm).

Guests can enjoy breathtaking lake and mountain views from an oversized deck that overlooks the lake. An oversized gas grill is perfect for cooking for larger groups. There is a nice sandy beach in front of the lodge that is great for swimming. A 30 foot dock gives you plenty of room to swim and fish from. Guests are welcome to bring their boats. There is a public boat launch 1/4 mile away for trailered boats and all boats can be tied up at our dock. There are three kayaks and a canoe that come with the rental along with two additional rowboats. Electric trolling motors are also included. The fishing is great as the lake is known for its large mouth Bass and Walleye. Winter offers the opportunity to ski Gore Mountain about 25 minutes away or excellent cross country skiing in the Santanoni preserve. Snowmobile to state trails from the lodge when lake if frozen.

Being centrally located in the Adirondacks makes it easy to access many of the local attractions. Within a 10 minute drive you can enjoy the Long Lake area and all it has to offer including restaurants and shops. There is great hiking just down the road at the Goodnow Mountain trailhead. A 45 minute climb leads to a fire tower that offers unbeatable mountain views.

The property is perfect for multiple families or small family reunions. Please note that there is a very strict policy of 16 maximum guests. Unfortunately most dogs and other pets are prohibited at the lodge in an effort to maintain the noise and the property.
